PN pledges aid to low-income families, border reopening in campaign manifesto
JOHOR BAHRU - The PN coalition has pledged to provide 20 cubic metres of free water supply to low-income households and to push for borders to reopen between Malaysia and Singapore as part of the campaign manifesto for the Johor state election.
Among other pledges includes small and medium enterprises will be given an exemption from paying business licences for five years, cash aid to Johor youth intending to further their studies and special aid to registered fishermen affected by coastal development projects.
During the launch of the manifesto today, PN chairman Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said the manifesto focused on eight main pillars, that aims to restore the socio-economic strength of the southern state.
“PN has drafted an inclusive and comprehensive offer to Johoreans and this will ensure that no party is left behind from benefit from the development of the state’s economic and social sector.
In his speech, Muhyiddin also stated that a PN led state government will uphold integrity and free from corruption while upholding the principles of constitutional monarchy.
Muhyiddin also stated that under the PN led state government, all Felda premiums will be fixed at RM1 and while special care will be put to dilapidated houses for second generation Felda settlers.
