KUALA LUMPUR - Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob has extended his condolences to opposition leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and his family on the passing of his brother Rusli Ibrahim.

Ismail Sabri conveyed his condolences through a post on Twitter.

"Condolences to Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and his family on the passing of his younger brother, Tuan Haji Rusli Ibrahim. May the soul of the deceased be blessed and placed with the souls of those who believe and do good deeds. Al-Fatihah," he said.

Rusli was the fifth of the nine siblings.
