BUKIT KEPONG - Second generation Felda settlers at Felda Seri Jaya, Bukit Serampang here have demanded for their homes to be completed immediately.

The Felda village chief, Abd Ghani Abd Molok said the project to build 157 units of houses has caused the residents to question its status as no construction work is being done.

“Although 157 house units have been approved for the second phase, we are still unsure about the status of the construction.

“We urge the relevant authorities to carry out construction work as many of us want our own homes,” he told Sinar Harian on Saturday.

A second-generation settler, Abdullah Semani, 67 said the site for the construction had been gazetted previously.

He further claimed that the project was suspended due to leadership changes at the federal level.

Meanwhile, Anwar Musa, 28 said the young in the area need homes.

“We need a comfortable house to live in. I hope construction work for the homes will be carried out immediately,” he said.
