Covid-19: Malaysia records 28,734 cases, 34 fatalities in the last 24 hours

SHAH ALAM - Malaysia records 28,734 new cases in the past 24 hours, according to Health Ministry's data.

The data collated at the CovidNow website also stated that there are 3,173,908 cumulative cases in the country to date.

Currently, there are 243,342 active cases, some 230,491 of them are home quarantined.

Another 5,414 cases are treated at low-risk quarantine centres while 7,199 are hospitalized.

There are 108 cases being treated in intensive care units and another 130 cases required ventilator support.

In terms of death, the nation records 34 death including 12 brought in dead cases while cumulative fatalities related to Covid-19 is at 32,310 cases.

For vaccination, the country has administered some 66,018,432 doses of vaccines, with 25,742,431 persons with at least two doses.

Some 151,156 doses of vaccines were administered yesterday, out of which 77,517 are booster shots.
