Stop harassing parents who want kids vaccinated, KJ tells anti-vaxxers
SHAH ALAM -- Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin has told off anti-vaxxers groups not to impede or harass parents who wish to get their children vaccinated.
Taking to Twitter, the Rembau MP cited Health Ministry data to show that more and more parents are getting their young children vaccinated despite himself being slandered for supposedly staging his son's vaccination process.
"The coverage and registration for PICKids is increasing. Alhamdullilah, parents want to provide protection for their kids. Even with some people who slandered my son for taking a fake vaccine, more and more parents are confident with the vaccine. Don't harass other people who wish to get their kids vaccinated,'' he said.
Last Sunday, Khairy had brought his youngest son, six-year-old Raif to be vaccinated at the World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur. The entire ordeal was shown on Khairy's social media.
This is the second time that Khairy had personally clashed with anti-vaxxers groups for spreading fake information about his trust in vaccines.
Earlier this year, Khairy had to clarify his vaccination status after anti-vaxxers accused him of not being vaccinated despite the health minister being vaccinated on live television.
