Covid-19: Malaysia charts 21,072 new cases with no signs of slowing down soon

SHAH ALAM - Malaysia's Covid-19 cases continue to soar with 21,072 cases recorded in the last 24 hours, according to data released by the Ministry of Health.

Yesterday the country recorded 22,802 cases, pushing the cumulative cases past the three million mark since the pandemic began.

Director-General of Health Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said, via a tweet earlier today that the nation's Covid-19 infectivity rate or R0/Rt had risen to 1.49 as of yesterday.

Dr Noor Hisham also stated that 20,986 cases or 99.59 per cent of the total cumulative cases today are from Category 1 and 2.
