SHAH ALAM - Traffic congestion has been reported along the Bentong toll plaza as holidaymakers made their way home after the Chinese New Year celebration.

Bentong police chief Superintendent Zaiham Mohd Kahar said traffic was slow moving from the Bentong toll plaza heading towards Bukit Tinggi and from the Gombak layby all the way to the Gombak toll plaza.

This, he said was due to drivers changing lanes to go to the nearby petrol station on the left side of the road.

“Drivers changing lanes from right to left to go to the petrol station was one of the reasons for slow moving traffic.

“The road seemed congested even after the Bentong toll plaza until the Gombak toll plaza due to increasing traffic as people were returning home from celebrating Chinese New Year,” he said in a statement, today.
