PKR youth leader dismisses claims of PH's unpopularity, says mandate was cut short in Johor

SHAH ALAM - Johor PKR Youth vice-chief, Faezuddin Puad dismisses claims that Pakatan Harapan (PH) had failed to fulfil its 14th General Election (GE14) manifesto for the southern state.
Faezudin stressed that the PH state government have managed to fulfil 10 pledges in their manifesto within 100 days after GE14 and could have done more if their mandate was not cut short due to political instability.
“If we look at the context in Johor, PH has implemented the Johor Health Card of RM500 for the card recipient to receive any treatment at private clinics.
“Besides, PH also administered free water assistance for the low-income family (B40), apart from abolishing the Government Standing Quota scheme which was previously owned by 30 per cent of (BN) leaders.
“To say that we have not fulfilled all the pledges in the manifesto is unfair because PH is not given the chance to govern the state for five years,” he said.
Therefore, Faezuddin emphasized that the lack of time due to the political unrest in the state was the factor behind the failure of the party in fulfilling the promises for the rakyat.
“Within a short period of time, PH managed to fulfil 10 promises for the rakyat. If PH is able to govern for five years, I believe more promises will be able to be fulfilled,” he said.
