SHAH ALAM - Simpang Renggam MP Dr Maszlee Malik stated that he received no information about the rumours of him being nominated to compete for Layang-Layang state assembly (DUN) seats in the Johor state election.

Maszlee said he is not involved with any discussion by PKR party leaders on seat allocation for the state election.

“As I have posted on Twitter, I have no information regarding the issue. I am just a member of the party and I am not involved in any discussion by the higher-ups.

“So, as of now, I still have no information but I stand by the principles and the leadership so I will abide by the party’s instructions,” he said in a programme hosted by the National Journalism Laureate, Tan Sri Johan Jaafar and the programme broadcast live on every Sinar Harian digital platform every Wednesday.

The former education minister was previously rumoured to be contesting for Layang-Layang state seats for the Johor state election and will be announced as Johor MB if PH wins the election.
