PM Ismail Sabri visits Dr Mahathir at IJN

KUALA LUMPUR - Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob has arrived at the National Heart Institute (IJN) to visit Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad who was admitted at the health care facility earlier today.

Ismail Sabri arrived will a full police escort at IJN at 5.20pm, briefly waved to members of the press as his convoy make their way to IJN's rear entrance.

Earlier today, Dr Mahathir was admitted to IJN's cardiac care unit, according to a spokesperson from his office.

Earlier this month, Dr Mahathir was also cleared to be discharged from IJN after undergoing elective surgery.

In a tweet, Ismail Sabri stated that he had also met with Tun Dr Siti Hasmah Mohamad Ali and expressed wishes for the family to stay strong.

Ismail Sabri then left IJN at 6:05 pm, a little over half an hour after he arrived.

He, however, did not speak to members of the press.

At the time of writing, there has been no new update on Dr Mahathir's condition other than the fact the former prime minister is admitted to IJN's cardiac care unit.

Earlier today, Dr Mahathir's political secretary Abu Bakar Yahya Any posted a brief message on his Facebook, urging Malaysians not to believe rumours or speculation and to continue praying for the Langkawi MP's good health.
