In a video posted by citizen journalist site, media rakyat, Maszlee commented that he was scheduled to give his statement to the police at IPD Putrajaya at 10 am this Friday (Jan 14).
Maszlee explained that Bukit Aman had also opened an investigation paper against him and further claims that it was due to him being local over alleged impropriety surrounding Azam.
"I was asked to appear at IPD Putrajaya this Friday at 10 am. Bukit Aman has opened an investigation paper against me. And (I) was thought to have been vocal on the issue of Azam Baki,'' he said.
Azam recently has courted controversy over alleged share trading allegations.
Although he had explained that the account was used by his brother, Nasri Baki, Malaysians, in general, are asking whether Azam had committed any violation of Malaysian laws or even whether there is a conflict of interest in his duties over the matter.
