Kid-friendly cinemas for parents with small children
The idea of watching a movie with your kids at the cinema can be a treat or a disaster. Smaller children get restless as they have shorter attention spans and find it difficult to sit still and be quite for long stretches of time.
Good thing family-friendly cinemas are actually a thing in Malaysia. Cinemas like TGV offers a safe environment for children to play while parents enjoy the movie in the same hall. Selected TVG cinema halls like the ones in TGV Central i-City, TGV Toppen Johor Bahru, TGV Tasek Central and TGV Bintulu Boulevard offer kid-friendly amenities.
For example, the hall features include the family playroom, kids’ toilets, diaper changing stations as well as softer audio so that the sound will not be too loud for their ears.
In addition, they have brighter lights for parents to watch over their children in the hall. Seats are comfortable for the entire family to enjoy the movie at the utmost level of comfort.
DADI CINEMA
There is a new kid friendly cinema in town called Dadi Cinema available at Da Men shopping mall in USJ Subang Jaya and Pavilion Kuala Lumpur.
Both malls boasts kid-friendly Lil Star cinema halls where the hall kiddos can watch their movie in customized kids seating, and also play at the mini play area in the same hall. Fret not, there are also plenty of adult-size seating space available in the halls.
Just outside the movie hall, there is a special area called Lil Star Playland where it serves as an exclusive ‘lounge’ for the kids to run around and play before the movie starts.
GOLDEN SCREEN CINEMAS
GSC Cinemas at IOI Mall Puchong hit it off` with its GSC PlayPlus feature, a family-friendly hall that’s catered to parents with little ones. Other than the bright-coloured seats, the hall is also equipped with beanbag seats and couches for a comfortable, homey experience.
With ample space in the hall, kids can run around and play at the playground area which includes a cool giant slide. Similar to Dadi Cinema, there is also a PlayPlus lounge for kids to roam around and play before the movie begins.
Now Damansara 3 shopping is also equipped with the same family friendly feature. The cinema area has an open play area with an adjoining reading area located right next to the PlayPlus hall. The seating arrangement in the hall is similar to the one in IOI Mall where it also has cuddle couches, bright coloured seats and even bean bags for the extra comfort.
