KUALA LUMPUR – The Sinar Terjah PETRONAS Malaysia Open 2025 lit up the Axiata Arena, Bukit Jalil, with a vibrant mix of energy, excitement, and unforgettable moments. From thrilling activities to engaging games, visitors were treated to an immersive celebration of badminton's unifying spirit.

Held alongside the prestigious PETRONAS Malaysia Open 2025 badminton tournament, which runs from Jan 7 to 12, the programme aimed to foster community engagement and promote an active lifestyle.

Participants also had the chance to win exclusive prizes such as mini cutlery sets, notebooks, tumblers, cups, T-shirts, tote bags, pouch bags, racquet tote bags, and more.

A participant, Nur Fatin Maisarah Zaid, shared her enthusiasm in attending the event.

"This is my first time here, and I’m thrilled to play the games and spend time with my siblings. The experience has been fantastic,” said the 22-year-old student when met here today.

"The games are fun and surprisingly challenging. The most difficult was aiming the shuttlecock into a basket. It’s been great to win prizes while enjoying the event,” he said.

In addition to the games, the PETRONAS Malaysia Open Food Festival offered a delightful culinary experience, with food stalls and vendors serving a variety of options.

Visitors also gathered at the Sinar Harian x PETRONAS booth to watch live screenings of badminton matches while enjoying their meals, creating a lively atmosphere for fans.

With matches taking place from 12pm to 7.30pm, the event successfully combined thrilling badminton action with community engagement, providing an unforgettable experience for fans and participants alike.

Organised by the Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) and sanctioned by the BWF, the tournament features world-class players competing for a prize pool of USD $1,450,000, as part of the BWF World Tour Super 1000 series.
