PUTRAJAYA – Thousands of people have gathered at the Palace of Justice in Putrajaya today in support of former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak, as of 9.33am.
The rally is predominantly made up of supporters from both Pas and Umno, with policemen present to secure the area, surrounding the court from the front to the back.
Chants of "Takbir" could be heard from Pas supporters, expressing solidarity with the call to free Najib.
A 46-year-old Pas supporter identified as Hoslan Hussain emphasised that his allegiance to Pas does not diminish his support for Najib, despite being a minority among the larger Umno contingent.
"I stand with the truth and do not side with anyone. I believe that truth will prevail," he said when met.
The Court of Appeal today will hear former premier Najib’s bid to enforce an alleged royal addendum granting him house arrest.
Outside the Palace of Justice, several political parties are mobilising a rally to show solidarity with Najib and uphold Yang di-Pertuan Agong's powers to grant clemency.
