Opening the show with the songs ‘Imaji’ and ‘Kejam’, it did not take too long for the 31-year-old artiste, whose real name is Nurul Aina Abdul Ghani, to mesmerise the 1,500 people who turned up to watch her perform.

KUALA LUMPUR - Prolific singer-songwriter Aina Abdul captivated the audience with her soul-stirring vocals during her concert at Zepp Kuala Lumpur recently, which was held as part of her ‘Imaji’ album tour.

Opening the show with the songs ‘Imaji’ and ‘Kejam’, it did not take too long for the 31-year-old artiste, whose real name is Nurul Aina Abdul Ghani, to mesmerise the 1,500 people who turned up to watch her perform. Cheers and shouts of "I love you, Aina" echoed non-stop from the audience throughout the two-and-a-half-hour performance.

Dressed in a black outfit with abstract patterns, Aina expressed her deep gratitude to her fans for their support and jokingly hoped they would "sleep and eat" alongside her debut album.

During the second half of the concert, Aina, now dressed in pink, surprised her fans by revealing details about her two "children” named Hero and Susu.

"Aina wants to introduce someone to all of you but they tend to get nervous. These two (cats) have truly changed my life.

"In fact, those who know me are aware that I used to be terrified of cats but I’ve managed to overcome my fear. Now I’m even thinking about getting a third one," she said, encouraging the audience to face and conquer their fears in life.

In what she described as the most challenging concert of her career, Aina delivered an unforgettable performance, entertaining fans with nearly 20 songs, including ‘Satu Rasa’, ‘Gentayangan’, ‘Jadi Ajar Aku’, ‘Semalam’, ‘Menua’, ‘Cinta Tak Pernah Tepat Waktu’, ‘Puas Sudah’, ‘Bilang’, ‘Terus Hidup’ and ‘Sepi’.

Aina also announced that she plans to take a break from staging solo concerts in 2025 to explore new ventures in the music industry.

"In 2025, I want to explore my music and collaborate with artistes both locally and internationally," Aina shared, without revealing the names of the individuals she plans to work with.

The ‘Imaji’ tour concert series, organised by Aina Abdul Entertainment, began at Universiti Malaysia Sarawak in Kota Samarahan, Sarawak, on Dec 27 and will conclude at Dewan Mu'adzam Shah at Universiti Utara Malaysia in Sintok, Kedah, on Jan 11. - BERNAMA
