SHAH ALAM - Social media influencer Cik Epal claims that her ex-husband Jofliam has beaten up her assistant, allegedly due to the assistant's act of helping hold her handbag.
Cik Epal whose real name is Murni Mahmud revealed this in a video on her Instagram account @cikepal06.
In the video with a blank screen, accompanied by an audio and texts detailing alleged incident, she expressed anger and disappointment over Jofliam's actions.
She claimed in the caption that her ex-husband whose real name is Jofli Abu Bakar became violent after seeing her assistant holding her handbag.
"When my ex-husband started getting violent to the point of wanting to beat up my assistant, that’s really too much for me. Don’t act all tough, bro.
"The reason he wants to hit my assistant is because he saw him holding my handbag. Well, what’s the big deal? He (assisstant) always holds my things.
"He (Jofliam) said (to my assistant) "I saw you hanging around my ex-wife, just wait and see." What’s your problem? We’re divorced, right? What’s your issue?," she wrote in the caption.
In the video, a man's voice, believed to be Jofliam's, can be heard saying "Don't let me find you later, or I'll break your face. You, Zaf, Afham, just wait until tomorrow. Wait and see. I'll take you on one by one, just wait. If I see you hanging around with my ex-wife, you'll see."
Another voice in the video, believed to be Cik Epal's assistant, can be heard pleading, "Bro, don't hit me, I didn't do anything."
After the couple's divorce in October, Cik Epal took to Instagram to reveal a slew of allegations against her ex-husband who runs a Wagyu pizza business, accusing him of serious financial and ethical misconduct.
The divorce followed a series of tensions in their relationship, which had intensified over several months.
The controversy surrounding the situation began when Jofliam was accused of infidelity, particularly involving his employee named Dewi.
The couple, married on June 1, 2014, have two children together.
