Rosmah's legal victory: Daughter Nooryana reflects on six-year battle

SHAH ALAM - Former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak's daughter, Nooryana Najwa expressed her heartfelt gratitude after the Kuala Lumpur High Court acquitted and discharged her mother, Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor on multiple charges on Thursday.

In an Instagram post, Nooryana conveyed her relief and praised her mother’s resilience in overcoming the challenges she had faced.

"Alhamdulillah, such a relief after six long years. She has fought her own battle for justice," she wrote.

Rosmah too expressed her gratitude for the court’s decision via Facebook.

"Syukur Alhamdulillah... MasyaAllah, Tabarakallah, Alhamdulillah. Allahuakbar. Allahuakbar. Allahuakbar. Allahu Mustaan,” she wrote, sharing her profound thanks to her lawyers, the judge, and everyone who had supported her.

Nooryana expressed her gratitude in an Instagram post.

On Thursday, the Kuala Lumpur High Court acquitted and discharged Rosmah from 12 counts of money laundering totaling RM7,097,750, as well as five counts of failing to declare her income to the Inland Revenue Board (LHDN).

Judge K. Muniandy granted her application to dismiss all the charges.

However, despite this outcome, Rosmah still faces an ongoing appeal against the earlier decision made by Judge Mohamed Zaini Mazlan (now a Court of Appeal judge), who sentenced her to 10 years in prison and imposed a RM970 million fine over three corruption charges related to the RM1.25 billion solar hybrid project
