The Budimas Charitable Foundation recently hosted its sixth Night of a Thousand Blessings, an annual fundraising gala dedicated to supporting underprivileged and Orang Asli children in Malaysia.
Held at the Pullman Hotel KLCC in Kuala Lumpur, the exclusive black-tie event attracted over 400 guests, including supporters, business partners, and community members.
The evening was a resounding success, raising RM400,000 to further the Foundation's mission of providing much-needed aid and opportunities for disadvantaged children across the country.
During his opening speech at the event, Budimas Charitable Foundation chairman, Tunku Datuk Yaacob Khyra, who served as the Guest of Honor, emphasised that the evening was not only a celebration but also a reminder of the collective responsibility they hold towards the most vulnerable members of society.
"With every ringgit raised, we give hope, stability, and a brighter future to children who deserve the chance to thrive.” he said.
The event was graced by the presence of the Budimas Board of Trustees, Board of Governors, business sponsors, media representatives, and the children whose lives have been positively impacted by this remarkable initiative.
The Budimas Charitable Foundation also expresses its heartfelt gratitude to the event's major sponsors, including Sunway Medical Centre, Farm Fresh Malaysia, United U-Li, Hasani Group of Companies, Gleneagles Hospital Kuala Lumpur, MAA Group, and Mydin Mohamed Holdings.
They said the support and continued partnership play a vital role in helping the foundation extend its reach to more children across Malaysia.
"Little or large, any contribution from these committed partners makes a difference for the children,” Budimas said in a statement.

The Budimas Education Charity Fund (BECF) has established 12 libraries in Orang Asli communities, offering more than 6,000 books and digital resources, with plans to build 12 more libraries in 2025.
In 2024, the foundation launched two new initiatives in which, the Budimas Children Medical Care Fund (BCMCF), which partners with Gleneagles Kuala Lumpur and other institutions to provide critical medical care to children, and the Budimas Performing Arts Fund (BPAF), which promotes self-expression and cultural heritage through music, dance, and traditional performances.
Budimas principal officer, Anne Rajasaikaran, also expressed special gratitude to the unwavering support of donors and partners, noting that the event was a celebration of kindness and a commitment to building a brighter future for all children.
"We are able to help over 10,000 children each year through our programmes. But our mission continues, and every contribution brings us closer to ensuring that no child in Malaysia is left without hope.
"Together, we can be the change that transforms lives,” she said.
