Diana Danielle files for divorce from Farid Kamil, again

Syariah lawyer Datuk Akberdin Abdul Kader, representing Diana, stated that the divorce application was made against Farid under Section 47 of the Islamic Family Law (Federal Territories) Enactment 1984.

KUALA LUMPUR - Prolonged disputes and lack of understanding are the reasons given by actress Diana Danielle to file for divorce for the second time from her husband, actor Farid Kamil, at the Syariah Lower Court here today.

Syariah lawyer Datuk Akberdin Abdul Kader, representing Diana, whose full name is Diana Danielle Danny Beeson, 32, stated that the divorce application was made against Farid, whose full name is Farid Kamil Zahari, 43, under Section 47 of the Islamic Family Law (Federal Territories) Enactment 1984.

"We had already discussed this matter a month ago before Diana asked me to prepare her divorce application.

"The divorce application filed this time around was made based on Diana’s inability to continue living with Farid, citing a lack of understanding and prolonged disputes or irreconcilable conflicts,” he said when met by reporters outside the court.

In addition, Akberdin said the actress has also filed a reference application following the couple’s first divorce on Aug 10.

"They reconciled on Sept 9, a month after the divorce...The court has scheduled a hearing for both applications on Nov 20," said Akberdin.

Diana, dressed in black, arrived at the court at 9.15 am, accompanied by several of her personal security guards.

The couple married on Nov 3, 2012, and have two children - Muhammad, 11, and Nur Aurora, nine.

Diana filed for divorce for the first time on March 10 last year, citing irreconcilable differences, prolonged disputes and inability to live together as husband and wife. - BERNAMA
