Govt extends CKD electric motorcycle usage incentive scheme with RM10mil allocation

The existing EV Tax Incentive Framework has been restructured so that it is aligned to encourage the transition to locally assembled completely knocked down EVs.

KUALA LUMPUR - A rebate of up to RM2,400 under the Electric Motorcycle Usage Incentive Scheme will be continued with an allocation of RM10 million, said Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

Anwar who is also the Finance Minister said the existing Electric Vehicle (EV) Tax Incentive Framework has been restructured so that it is aligned to encourage the transition to locally assembled completely knocked down (CKD) EVs.
