She claimed the three reasons why she decided to put an end to their marriage were the neglect of financial support, lack of mutual understanding and Fattah's infidelity.

SHAH ALAM - Actress, singer and entrepreneur Nur Fazura Sharifuddin reveals the main reasons behind her divorce from Fattah Amin.

Fazura, 41, claimed the three main reasons why she decided to put an end to their seven-year marriage were the neglect of financial support for both herself and their only daughter, Nur Fatima Aisya, 4, as well as a lack of mutual understanding and Fattah's infidelity.

"I've always remained silent to protect my dignity and Fattah's, as well as Fatima's future, but now that many people have been asking questions and speculating – the three reasons for our divorce are, firstly, Fattah has long neglected financial support for me and our child.

Fazura was seen shedding tears as she exited the courtroom.

"Secondly, we no longer have mutual understanding. I have been unhappy for a long time, emotionally distressed and mentally exhausted. I endured and kept quiet despite all the accusations, insults and slander directed at me.

"Thirdly, I can no longer accept Fattah's infidelity. I have proof," she said in a press conference immediately after she and Fattah officially divorced at the Subang Bestari Syariah Lower Court on Monday morning.

Fazura added that as a wife, she was naturally saddened by the divorce, and the decision was made after a long period of consideration.

"I have suffered for a long time, for years and have thought it over carefully. I accept Allah's will and I believe it is for the best," she said.

Fazura emphasised that due to her decision to separate, she received various insults and criticisms, with some even calling the Gol & Gincu star egoistical.

"Everyone knows I loved Fattah; I gave him all my love. As a wife, I did my best, and I hope Allah knows how much I have sacrificed.

"I provided a home, food and comfort for him and Fatima. I even gave him a car for his convenience, but after all my sacrifices, that car was taken by a woman who has no right to it," she claimed.

When asked when she discovered Fattah's infidelity, Fazura said she learned about it in early August, after seven months of Fattah keeping it a secret.

"Although I seemed happy on the outside, people did not know the intense pressure I was under.

"In the two months that we were not living together, there was no real effort from Fattah to come home or seriously try to make amends.

"All I received were simple good morning and good night messages. As a wife, I was angry and heartbroken. If he had come to apologise, maybe I would have softened but that’s when I knew he didn’t truly love me," Fazura said.

Nur Fazura finally revealed the reason she was determined to put an end to her marriage with Fattah.

In the meantime, Fazura acknowledged that many people sympathise with their only daughter, and as a mother, she felt the same way.

"However, I cannot continue living in pretentiously, allowing Fatima to see her parents unhappy together.

"I also feel sorry for Fatima; imagine, at four years old, she has never received any money from her father during the festive season. How can we live together if Fatima sees her parents unhappy?

"I want to ask Fattah, if one day Fatima's husband does the same (fails to provide support and so on), would he be happy and agree for Fatima to continue in that situation?" Fazura stated.

Earlier, rumours about the cracks in Fazura and Fattah Amin's marriage began circulating in July, but the speculation became clearer when the actress filed for divorce on September 13.

Fazura and Fattah, who were married on November 27, 2017, have one daughter, Nur Fatima Aisya, who is now four years old.
