SHAH ALAM - The Karangkraf Warehouse Sale 2024 attracted over 10,000 visitors during its 10-day run from Sept 27 to Oct 6, at the Karangkraf Group Complex, Section 15 here.
Karangkraf Book Group (GBK) chief executive officer (CEO) Firdaus Hussamuddin said the event received an encouraging response, with visitors attending every day without interruption, even on weekdays.
"Alhamdulillah, the turnout was more vibrant than at previous warehouse sales.
"Visitors came with their families—parents, children, and grandparents—making it feel like a festival for families.
"We at GBK are very grateful to everyone who attended and showed support.
"We will continue producing quality products at reasonable prices in the future,” she told Sinar on Sunday.
She added that visitors enjoyed discounts on selected book titles and had the opportunity to win lucky draw prizes worth up to RM1,500.
Firdaus also added that one of the most popular new attractions this year was the special merchandise produced by Karangkraf.
She said that although they rarely released items such as keychains, magnetic bookmarks, umbrellas, and drink bottles, these products received an overwhelming response.
"The uniqueness we introduced with these new products was unexpected, as most of our items sold out.
"For the Quran, we reprinted it to meet the increasing demand, ensuring we had enough stock for visitors.
"We provided a variety of options, allowing customers to choose the size and type they preferred,” she said.
Firdaus said that the warehouse sale would return early next year, with the exact date to be announced soon.
She assured that organisers would continue to provide facilities such as prayer rooms, restrooms, food vendors, and air-conditioned areas to ensure the comfort of future visitors.
