Diddy, also known as ‘P Diddy,’ a prominent figure in the hip-hop scene, had his troubles magnified after a lawsuit from his ex-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura, came to light.

In November 2023, Cassie filed a lawsuit accusing Diddy of rape, sex trafficking, and physical violence.

Although that case was quickly settled, it opened the floodgates for more allegations against him.

Since then, Diddy faced at least 12 additional lawsuits, with claims ranging from sexual assault to drugging.

On November 16, Cassie claimed that Diddy had raped her, engaged in sex trafficking, and committed domestic violence, alleging that she endured "horrific abuse" throughout their relationship.

This included a bizarre claim that Diddy blew up Kid Cudi's car out of jealousy.

Diddy’s lawyer dismissed these accusations as "offensive and outrageous," while Cassie's team claimed he offered her an eight-figure sum to silence her, which she rejected.

The lawsuit was settled within 24 hours for an undisclosed amount.

Additional sexual assault lawsuits - November 2023

Shortly after Cassie’s lawsuit, two more sexual assault lawsuits emerged—one from an anonymous plaintiff and another from Joi Dickerson-Neal, who accused Diddy of drugging and sexually assaulting her in 1991.

On November 28, Diddy stepped down as Revolt chairman, the media company he co-founded, amid growing legal pressure.

Accusations of a 2003 Assault - December 2023

In early December, Diddy publicly denied all allegations after Jane Doe filed a lawsuit claiming she was sexually assaulted by Harve Pierre, the former president of Bad Boy Records, and another individual in 2003 when she was just 17.

Diddy insisted he was being targeted for financial gain and vowed to defend his reputation.

E-commerce company fallout - December 2023

By December 10, brands began distancing themselves from Diddy’s e-commerce company, Empower Global, citing his alleged misconduct as a violation of their core values.

Companies such as No One Clothiers publicly severed ties with him, emphasising the importance of respect for all individuals.

Lawsuit from Rodney "Lil Rod" Jones Jr. - Feb 2024

In February, music producer Rodney "Lil Rod" Jones Jr. filed a lawsuit against Diddy, alleging sexual misconduct, assault, and harassment during the production of The Love Album: Off the Grid.

Lil Rod claimed that Diddy groped him and pressured him to solicit sex workers, some allegedly underage.

Diddy’s attorney dismissed these claims as attempts to gain financial compensation.

Federal raids and investigations - March 2024

In March, federal agents raided Diddy’s homes in Los Angeles and Miami as part of an ongoing sex trafficking investigation.

Although the details were scarce, Diddy’s attorney condemned the raids as excessive and confirmed that he was not detained.

Attempts to dismiss lawsuit - May 2024

In May, Diddy sought to dismiss a rape lawsuit filed in December 2023, claiming it was unfounded and filed too late.

Around the same time, a 2016 video surfaced, allegedly showing Diddy assaulting Cassie, prompting her lawyer to further condemn his actions. Diddy posted a 70-second apology on Instagram, admitting that his behaviour was inexcusable.

New allegations from Crystal McKinney - May 2024

On May 21, model Crystal McKinney filed a lawsuit accusing Diddy of sexual assault in 2003, alleging she was drugged and assaulted at a New York City studio.

This came amid growing media attention, including a viral fake documentary poster titled Diddy Do It, while rapper 50 Cent announced a legitimate documentary on Diddy’s allegations to be released on Netflix.

Eminem's diss track - July 2024

In July, rapper Eminem released a diss track titled "Fuel," featuring JID, seemingly alluding to Diddy’s alleged involvement in the murders of Tupac Shakur and The Notorious B.I.G., while also hinting at sexual assault accusations against him.

Renewed scrutiny of Kimberly Porter’s death - Sept 2024

In Sept, the death of Diddy’s ex-wife Kimberly Anita Porter, who passed away in 2018, came under renewed scrutiny after a diary allegedly written by her surfaced.

The diary detailed accusations of emotional and physical abuse, with implications that Porter lived in fear of Diddy.

Grand jury indictments and further allegations - Sept 2024

Diddy was arrested in Manhattan after a grand jury indictment linked him to allegations of sexual abuse and trafficking.

Authorities seized over 1,000 bottles of baby oil and firearms, including AR-15 rifles with defaced serial numbers.

Federal prosecutors subsequently unsealed an indictment accusing Diddy of leading a racketeering conspiracy involving sex trafficking, forced labour, and bribery.

In a dramatic turn of events, Diddy denied all charges and remained in custody awaiting trial.

More than 100 new assault allegations - Oct 2024

Amid these developments, reports indicated that over 100 individuals, including minors, planned to sue Diddy for rape, sexual assault, and exploitation.

Lawyer Tony Buzbee revealed that 120 people, including 25 minors, came forward to take civil action, alleging drugging and sexual abuse during parties.

These accusations presented a troubling pattern of alleged abuse, with many victims reportedly drugged at parties and minors lured with promises of fame.

As Diddy continued to deny all charges, ongoing investigations by federal authorities suggested that this story was far from over.
