KLUANG - The Parti Amanah Negara (Amanah) leadership has expressed gratitude to Barisan Nasional (BN) for its willingness to form a government together, despite being former political rivals.
Amanah national communications director Khalid Abdul Samad described the collaboration as a vital step towards addressing the country's pressing issues.
"BN has proven that they are reliable allies.
"Their support has enabled us to establish a stable government that can effectively focus on economic recovery and social improvement," he said during the Mahkota Unity ceramah, here, today.
The former federal territories minister cautioned that working with Perikatan Nasional could intensify racial and religious issues, which could be exploited for political purposes, leading to continued divisions.
He expressed appreciation to the BN coalition and commended their decision to unite with Pakatan Harapan (PH).
"We may have our differences, but a quality politician knows when to reconcile for the nation's interests," he added.
