SHAH ALAM – Social media personality and entrepreneur, Khairul Aming expressed his joy after receiving a letter of appreciation from the New Zealand Prime Minister, Christopher Luxon.
Khairul Aming, whose real name is Khairul Amin Kamarulzaman, 32, shared that the letter came following Luxon’s recent visit to Malaysia.
According to Khairul, the letter highlighted Luxon’s confidence in his talent for building his own brand.
"Thank you for taking time out of your busy schedule to teach me how to prepare ‘roti jala’ and ‘cendol’, as well as for serving such delicious local dishes.
"I noticed our breakfast video has already reached eight million views on Instagram in just a few days.
"I know that is an incredible achievement.
"New Zealand’s tourism industry surely appreciates your efforts after hearing about the experience first-hand,” read the letter shared by Khairul.
On Sept 3, Khairul hosted Luxon at the Hidang KL restaurant, where he personally prepared ‘roti jala’ and served ‘teh tarik’ for breakfast.
Born in Kota Bharu, Kelantan, Khairul is synonymous with his yearly Ramadan video series titled ‘30 Hari 30 Resepi.’
To date, the mechanical engineering graduate from Vanderbilt University, United States (US), owns two factories in Kota Bharu.
Khairul also asked the public to pray for his continued success as a content creator, hoping to bring recognition to Malaysia on the global stage.
