SHAH ALAM - The Ini Malaysia Kita 2024 event is set to bring together Malaysians from all walks of life to celebrate the nation's rich cultural tapestry and vibrant traditions.
The event kicked off on Sept 14 and will last until Sept 17 2024 at Central i-City Shah Alam, promising a fun and excitement lineup of activities for all ages, making it an unforgettable celebration of Malaysia’s culture, cuisine, and creativity.
During the opening ceremony, Batu Tiga state assembly member Tuan Danial Al-Rashid expressed his excitement in participating in this major cultural and community event, emphasising its importance as a platform to celebrate Malaysia’s diverse heritage.
"This event is not just about showcasing our vibrant culture; it is a testament to our unity and shared values as Malaysians," he said.
In line with its corporate social responsibility (CSR) efforts, Central i-City extended a special invitation to 30 orphans and underprivileged primary school children from the local area.
These children had the opportunity to take part in the event’s opening, where they enjoyed a special lunch and participated in a creative workshop designed to inspire and nurture their talents.
Speaking on the event's objectives, CPN Malaysia chief operating officer Anthony Dylan highlighted the significance of promoting unity, cultural richness, and community spirit.
"The Ini Malaysia Kita 2024 event, which features a variety of cultural activities and community engagement opportunities, aims to foster greater understanding and appreciation of Malaysia’s diverse heritage," he said.

A culinary adventure awaits at the Malaysia Food Street, where visitors can savour diverse flavours from all corners of the nation.
Made in Malaysia bazaar
Discover unique, handmade treasures from local artisans and entrepreneurs at the Made in Malaysia Bazaar, showcasing innovative and creative products.
Malaysia cultural show and performances
Immerse yourself in Malaysia’s rich heritage through captivating performances, including traditional dances, music, and theatrical acts representing the country’s diverse cultural landscape.
Free workshop for kids
Families are invited to engage in interactive workshops designed for children, offering creative activities and cultural learning that promise a fun-filled day for all.
Mid-autumn lantern parade
Join the magical Mid-Autumn Lantern Parade, on Sept 16 at 7pm, where the night sky will be illuminated by stunning lanterns, celebrating the Mid-Autumn Festival in a spectacular fashion.
Shop and redeem
