BYD to unveil Denza in Malaysia in the first quarter of 2025

KUALA LUMPUR - Chinese automotive manufacturer BYD will introduce its sub-brand Denza to the Malaysian market in the first quarter of 2025.

BYD Malaysia Sdn Bhd’s managing director Eagle Zhao said the new addition will further strengthen the company's presence and offer more choices to meet the "huge demand” in the local market.

"So we will introduce Denza which will use BYD technology as well, with electric vehicle (EV) and plug-in hybrid electric vehicle technology," he said after launching a new variant for the BYD Seal known as BYD Seal Dynamic, an electric sedan, and sports utility vehicle Atto 3.

BYD is looking forward to upgrading its collaboration with Sime Darby Motors Sdn Bhd (SDM) beyond the current distribution partnership with the arrival of Denza, Zhao said.

"We are embracing local partners to support us in a lot of fields for our brand introduction into Malaysia," he noted.

On the launching of the new BYD Seal Dynamic variant and Atto 3, he said the new variants support the shift towards more sustainable, technology-driven mobility in Malaysia.

According to Zhao, the models offer the option to seek a modern, eco-friendly driving experience.

BYD Seal Dynamic completes the full lineup of three Seal variants with a starting price tag of RM163,800 for the vehicle alone, while the Atto 3 is at RM149,800. Both are available in the market starting today. - BERNAMA
