Ex-Sinar Karangkraf group editor-in-chief Rozaid laid to rest

During his tenure, he launched Karangkraf Group's English news portal, Sinar Daily.

PUTRAJAYA - The remains of former Sinar Karangkraf group editor-in-chief Rozaid Abdul Rahman have been laid to rest at the Precinct 20 Muslim cemetery in Putrajaya at 10.50am, today.

Earlier, his remains were taken to the Putra Heights mosque for funeral prayers before arriving at the cemetery at 10.30am.

Among those who were present during his burial process were his family members, Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Federal Territories) Dr Zaliha Mustafa and former Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin.

Rozaid, 59, who was also the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) Media and Strategic Communications director died due to a heart attack, yesterday (Sunday).

Previously, he was reported to have experienced health issues and had received treatment at Sultan Idris Shah Hospital in Serdang.

Rozaid began his duties at Sinar Karangkraf on Jan 4, 2021, before deciding to end his service on Dec 30, 2022.

During his tenure, he launched Karangkraf Group's English news portal, Sinar Daily.

Rozaid had extensive experience in journalism for 40 years, starting his career as a cadet reporter at Utusan Malaysia in April 1984.
