SHAH ALAM - The autopsy report to determine the cause of death for Nidza Afham Mokhtar, who was discovered in Sungai Klang on Wednesday afternoon, is expected to be available later today.
Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Tan Sri Razarudin Husain said the report will help determine whether criminal elements were involved.
"We are still investigating and need to wait for the post-mortem report.
"We noticed that his phone was found, but only the SIM card is missing, and the phone was discovered on the bridge.
"So, we are awaiting the investigation report from the post-mortem, which should be available this afternoon.
"Selangor Police Chief (Datuk Hussein Omar Khan) will provide a statement," he told reporters earlier today.
He made this statement while attending the 9th SUKSIS UiTM Officer Inspector Corps Training and Appointment Certificate Presentation Ceremony at UiTM Shah Alam.
On Wednesday, Hussein confirmed that the body found in Sungai Klang that afternoon was Nidza Afham.
He said that the body was sent to Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Hospital (HTAR) Klang for further processing.
Nidza Afham, the brother of singer Aufahanie and a participant in the reality show 'I Can See Your Voice 3' who released a single titled 'Ternyata Bukan Aku', was reported missing at 7.45pm on Tuesday after going jogging at Stadium Klang, Selangor, around 11.53pm the previous night.
