PASIR PUTEH - Several former Umno leaders can be likened to ‘kemuncup’ in one's underwear that can disrupt and divide the party.
Kelantan Umno Chairman, Datuk Ahmad Jazlan Yaacub, made this analogy because some among them have created 'discomfort' within the party.
"If you do not believe it, you can put ‘kemuncup’ in your underwear and wear it (you will feel uncomfortable). These are the ones who have sabotaged the party's agenda to elevate the nation and country," he said.
He said this while speaking at the Closing Ceremony of the 30th Pasir Puteh Umno Division Delegates Meeting here on Friday.
The event was officiated by Umno President Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.
Meanwhile, he was confident that Umno would change the political landscape in Kelantan through the upcoming Nenggiri By-Election in Aug.
"We will enter the election in Nenggiri with solidarity and unwavering support from the Umno machinery.
"All the machinery has given the party President the mandate to choose any candidate for Nenggiri," he said.
Jazlan also expressed disappointment that some members still harbour doubts about the party leadership.
"Some among us are taking the opportunity to tarnish and assassinate the character of the President to make him hated by the public and the members themselves," he said.
However, he added, there were still many Umno leaders who would continue to ensure the party protects and defends religion, race and the country.
