PH urges Opposition to focus on constructive campaign measures

NIBONG TEBAL - Pakatan Harapan (PN) secretary-general Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail has accused the Opposition of attempting to create a false narrative of unfair treatment by authorities.

He urged them to focus on constructive measures, such as building a monitoring body to facilitate smoother future campaigns.

"These accusations are baseless. The campaign has been conducted peacefully and harmoniously," he told a media conference and at PH's Sungai Bakap headquarters here today.

He also rejected Perikatan Nasional (PN) allegations that the police were overly monitoring the campaign activities.

On a separate matter, the Home Minister expressed that Bersatu lacks confidence in the Sungai Bakap by-election.

"This lack of optimism from the Opposition bolsters our confidence in securing a win on July 6."

"Our team is dedicated to reaching out to voters through various channels, often using the acronym GOTV, meaning 'Get Out The Voters,' to emphasise our mission," he added.

Voters in Sungai Bakap go to the polls on Saturday to elect a new state assemblyman for their constituency following the death of incumbent Nur Zamri Latiff (Pas) on May 24, aged 55.
