SHAH ALAM - Two projects will be implemented if Pakatan Harapan (PH) wins the Sungai Bakap by-election.
Umno President Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, who is also the Deputy Prime Minister said the projects include the establishment of Senior Citizens Activity Centre (PAWE) and the construction of a Tamil school in Sungai Bakap.
"I believe that these proposals should be implemented if PH wins the Sungai Bakap by-election," he told the media while attending the Kasih Bersama Pemimpin event in Sungai Kechil here on Tuesday.
Zahid also said that winning in Sungai Bakap was crucial for the Penang State Government and the image of the unity government.
"I pray that Allah opens the hearts of all voters to support candidate number one, Dr Joohari to achieve victory in the Sungai Bakap State Assembly.
"God willing, if he is elected, the people of Sungai Bakap will benefit more because he will be part of the state government, which is also under the unity government," he said.
The Sungai Bakap by-election sees Joohari competing against his opponent, Abidin Ismail from Pas, who was also the former Special Officer to the Sungai Bakap State Assemblyman, Nor Zamri Latiff.
The by-election is being held following the death of Nor Zamri on May 24 due to abdominal inflammation.
