SEARCH KidDin’s Gemuruh concert on Saturday left fans buzzing about the band's legendary status, showing just how timeless their appeal is.
Search, a staple in Malaysia's music scene, is often hailed as the country's top rock band.
The electrifying performance held at the Zepp KL in Jalan Hang Tuah, Kuala Lumpur left a lasting impression among fans.
Aiman Syafiq, a 40-year-old fan of Search who attended the Gemuruh concert, mentioned that as an 80s kid, he grew up witnessing the legendary rock band and listened to their songs all the time.
"I came here tonight with my friends and had a really great time. During my teenage years, all we listened to was rock music, and Search was hugely popular then.
"Turning 40 this year, being here with my friends brought back a wave of nostalgia, reminding me of the good old days of the rock 'n' roll era,” he mentioned.
"They are legendary; Search is legendary. In my opinion, their iconic history will forever hold a place of honour in the Malaysian music industry,” he said.
Meanwhile, 26-year-old Ariff Siddiq mentioned that despite being born in 1998, Search's iconic songs transcended their era, allowing him to resonate with their music even as a teenager in the 2000s.
"I did not experience Search's era firsthand, but through my elder siblings and friends who listened to their music, I became familiar with their legendary status.
"Back then, access to international music was limited without platforms like YouTube and Spotify; we mainly relied on radio broadcasts.
"It is remarkable that during my time, Search's songs transcended their era. Their enduring popularity then and now speaks volumes about their iconic status as legends,” he said.
The Search KidDin concert marked a triumphant return for the iconic duo, Nordin Mohd Taib (Din) and Hamzah Mohd Taib (Kid).
