SHAH ALAM - A man's desire for intimacy with his wife diminished, leading him to cheat by using the online dating app MiChat.

Amir, a trader in his 40s, said he used the app solely to satisfy his urges because his wife refused to fulfill his desires at home.

"When my wife kept rejecting me, I downloaded MiChat to see if anyone would meet my needs.

"At first, I just wanted someone to chat with, but eventually, it became enjoyable and I wanted to sleep with them," he said.

The women he slept with were sex workers.

During the period when his wife refused to meet his needs, Amir admitted to hiring four women at RM200 per night.

"I know it's sinful, but who else will fulfill these needs if my wife is no longer willing to sleep with me?

"As a husband, I feel my request is not wrong. Moreover, my wife is still young, only 40 years old," he added.

Amir revealed that his wife eventually found out about his actions, and they are now in the process of getting a divorce.
