"I am accused of being a Board Member of a financial company where BlackRock has holdings.

"However, BlackRock's stake in CGS Securities was acquired through open market purchases, and there are no BlackRock representatives on the board of CGS Securities.

"This is different from the 'partnership' involving BlackRock's 30 percent ownership in GIP - MAHB, where we allowed them to acquire strategic interests in strategic assets," Khairy clarified via Facebook on Thursday.

He also addressed allegations of being an ambassador for a beverage company owned by BlackRock.

"The second accusation is that BlackRock has holdings in a beverage company for which I am an ambassador.

"This is completely false and defamatory. Vida beverages are owned by The Vida World Sdn Bhd and not Dydo Japan. Please get the facts straight," he added.
