RAMALLAH - President of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), Thomas Bach, called president of the Palestinian Football Association and chair of the Palestinian Olympic Committee, Jibril Rajoub, on Monday to discuss the preparations of Palestinian athletes to participate in the Olympic Games in Paris next month.

During the call, Rajoub stressed the insistence of Palestinian players to participate in the Olympics despite the difficult conditions facing the Palestinian people, Palestine News and Info Agency (WAFA) reported. Due to the difficult circumstances in the Palestinian Territory as a result of Israel’s ongoing aggression, players expected to participate in the Olympics were forced to undergo training in camps outside Palestine.
