JOHOR BAHRU - Police have arrested a local man for peeping at a woman in a toilet at a shopping mall in Jalan Flora Utama, Batu Pahat here yesterday, Batu Pahat district police chief Supt Shahrulanuar Mushaddat Abdullah Sani said.
He said that the local woman, 28 realised a man was peeping at her from below the wall partition in the toilet stall next to her when she was in the toilet at around 12.30pm and screamed for help while splashing water on the suspect's face.
"A security officer on duty managed to detain the suspect, 24, who was hiding in the toilet stall next to the victim's and handed him over to the Batu Pahat police for further action," he said in a statement today.
He added that the man, who has been remanded for four days till next Monday, did not have any prior criminal records and the case is being investigated under Section 377D of the Penal Code. - BERNAMA
