No guilty plea from Zayn Rayyan's mother – Lawyer

The public and media practitioners gathered outside the Petaling Jaya Court Complex building to get the latest updates regarding the remand case of the parents of the autistic child, Zayn Rayyan Abdul Matin, who was murdered.

The magistrate also recorded the lawyer's objection to the police's request for a statement from the 29-year-old woman.

PETALING JAYA – "Zayn Rayyan's mother did not make any guilty plea in the Magistrate’s Court here on Wednesday, but she only gave a statement regarding the incident that occurred," said lawyer Mahmud Jumaat.

He said that the magistrate also recorded the lawyer's objection to the police's request for a statement from the 29-year-old woman.

Earlier this morning, only the mother of Zayn Rayyan Abdul Matiiin, who has been remanded since June 1 to assist in the investigation of the murder case of the autistic child, was brought to court at about 10.30am to record her statement.

She was then seen leaving the Court Complex here at 12.50pm today.

The woman, clad in a purple lock-up outfit, was tightly guarded by the police in the court lobby before being taken into the enforcement agency's van.
