SHAH ALAM - Umno secretary-general Datuk Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki today claimed Pakatan Harapan (PH) has unofficially won the Kuala Kubu Baharu state seat by-election.
With preliminary results overwhelmingly favouring PH, the KKB by-election appears set for a decisive outcome, as PH's candidate, Pang Sock Tao, edges closer to victory with a substantial lead over Perikatan Nasional (PN).
Projections indicate that PH's Pang requires around 1,500 additional votes to secure a majority exceeding 50 per cent.
Meanwhile, PN trails behind by over 3,000 votes based on the latest update, indicating a considerable margin that is unlikely to be bridged in the remaining count.
Over 75 per cent of votes have been tallied, solidifying PH's advantage.
In stark contrast to the lively atmosphere at PH's camp, the PN operations centre remains unusually quiet.
Reports also indicated only a small gathering of supporters, with no displays of unofficial results and strict media restrictions preventing access to the centre.
