SHAH ALAM - Technology Innovation Park Malaysia (TiPM/Mranti) unveils the KL Innovation Belt (KLIB), a dynamic network of strategic hubs in Bukit Jalil and Bangsar aimed at cultivating a robust startup ecosystem.
In a bid to propel Malaysia's startup scene to new heights, TiPM has introduced the KLIB, a visionary initiative set to reshape the landscape of entrepreneurship and innovation in the Klang Valley region.
Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation (Mosti), Chang Lih Kang, extended a warm invitation to aspiring innovators, emphasising the strategic vision behind KLIB.
"We welcome you, as a pioneering innovator, to be part of a community targeted to grow within the next 3 years into a network of 500+ startups, investors and industry leaders, with vast potentials to collaborate with like-minded individuals whilst having access to support facilities tailored to your sector,” he said.
The hubs, strategically located in Bukit Jalil and Bangsar, will focus on key sectors including Energy and Greentech, Manufacturing and Automation, Agriculture and Islamic Financial Services, fostering a self-sustaining startup ecosystem.
The Malaysian Research Accelerator for Technology and Innovation (Mranti) chief executive officer (CEO) Datuk Dr Rais Hussin outlined the comprehensive support awaiting KLIB participants.
"KLIB innovators stand to benefit from scalable office space, high-speed internet, convenient transportation access and essential facilities such as F&B and leisure,” he said.
He highlighted the opportunity for direct exposure to potential investors and participation in investor pitch sessions, coupled with special rental and utility packages for early adopters, demonstrating a commitment to nurturing startup success.
