SHAH ALAM - Pas Selangor Commissioner Datuk Dr Ab Halim Tamuri calls upon DAP and Pakatan Harapan (PH) to take strict disciplinary actions against Housing and Local Government Minister Nga Kor Ming over his alleged allocation for infrastructure upgrade in Kuala Kubu Baharu ahead of the by-election

In a statement, Halim alleged that the approval of funds from taxpayers' money for the benefit of Nga's political party in the upcoming Kuala Kubu Baharu state by-election was a violation of democratic principles and has brought disgrace to Malaysia on the global stage.

"This action blatantly violates the principles of democracy in our country and tarnishing the image of our nation," he said.

Therefore, he urged the leadership of DAP to take swift disciplinary action against Nga, stressing that such undemocratic actions were not in line with the principles and values the party claimed to uphold.

Halim also called upon PH leaders not to remain silent in the face of such violations of democracy.

"We (Pas Selangor) also urge the leadership of Pakatan Harapan not to remain silent when democracy in this country is openly violated," he said.

He warned against hypocrisy, urging leaders to uphold the values they preach not only domestically but also on the international stage, particularly in advocating for the rights of the Palestinian people.

"Leaders of DAP and PKR need to reflect deeply on their party philosophies and manifestos, which advocate for social justice and democracy. They must not stray from these principles," he added.

Halim praised the actions of Kemaman MP and Terengganu Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar for postponing the announcement of 2024 Terengganu State Budget.

This decision, he said was made to ensure fairness and impartiality in the upcoming Kemaman by-election, setting a commendable example for the preservation of democracy in the country.

Yesterday, Nga announced that the ministry has allocated a sum of RM5.21 million to enhance public infrastructure within the oversight of the Hulu Selangor Municipal Council (MPHS) and the Chinese New Village Project in Hulu Selangor.

During his visit to Kuala Kubu Baru, Nga specified that this allocation covered 14 projects valued at RM4.82 million, to be carried out by MPHS and the Village Community Management Council.
