SHAH ALAM - The Ummah #GrandReset through the guidance of Surah Al-Jumu'ah needs to be a model of transformation in restoring the role of the 3U which are the ulama (scholars), umara' (leaders) and ummah (people).
Warisan Ummah Ikhlas Foundation (WUIF) founder Datuk Hussamuddin Yaacub said the three roles were an important aspect in developing the country as well as a formula towards victory.
"The King is a Muslim, the cabinet ministers are mostly Muslims but the country is still not successful because we failed to play a role, whether it is the ulama, umara' and ummah, they go beyond their respective limits.
"For us, the role of the ulama should make Muslims understand Islam better and transfer the values that exist in the religion, but when the ulama entered the political field, they enter the category of umara' (leaders) while the ummah tries to become an ulama with issuing false fatwas through social media, which is tragic.
"That's why I feel this year we need to do a #GrandReset, everyone has to go back to their respective roles.
"It means we have to return to producing good politicians who really stick to the right teachings," he said.
He said this while delivering a speech at the World #QuranHour 1445H/2024 Media Synergy Briefing at the My #QuranTime Studio, Karangkraf Group, yesterday.
The Ummah #GrandReset launched by WUIF in conjunction with the World #QuranHour campaign aimed to 'reset' unity and carry out social transformation for Muslims.
Surah Al-Jumu'ah is one of the seven surahs of Musabbihat by making Friday, the day of the gathering of Muslims every week an important momentum for the transformation of the minds of the ummah around the world.
World #QuranHour 1445H/2024 will be broadcast live at the National Mosque, Kuala Lumpur from noon to 1pm on April 4, which is the 24th day of Ramadan 1445H.
Meanwhile, Hussamuddin, who is also the Karangkraf Group advisor said the campaign was hoped to give awareness, especially to Muslims to return to the Quran.
"We hope that we can create a large-scale campaign around the world and spread this campaign followed by actions at home, classes and initiatives in the family.
"It is so that each individual in the family can read, understand and use the Quran as a guide in daily lives," he said.
