Selangor MB conveys condolences over Kuala Kubu Baharu assemblyman's passing

SHAH ALAM - Selangor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari has confirmed the news of the death of Kuala Kubu Baharu state assemblyman Lee Kee Hiong.

In conveying his condolences to the family of the 58-year-old assemblyman, Amirudin said he had just been informed of her passing today.

Amirudin said her death was a big loss to many quarters, especially the people of Kuala Kubu Baharu, whom she had represented for three terms since 2013.

"On behalf of the Selangor Unity Government, I extend my condolences to the family of the late Lee Kee Hiong and all friends and members of the Democratic Action Party, who have lost an experienced leader.

"May they be given the strength to face this challenging moment,” he said in a statement here.

In the last state election, Lee won the Kuala Kubu Baharu seat for the third consecutive time. - BERNAMA
