"It is no longer safe for them to live in their homes which were damaged. It could collapse at any time. Recently, the Israeli forces entered my in-laws' house and tore apart the Quran and destroyed all of their belongings.

"For now, all our families there (in Gaza) are taking shelter in the provided protection centres," she told Sinar, yesterday.

He said the distribution of aid was being carried out directly to Gaza, particularly in Rafah, through a network of cooperation with local non-governmental organisations (NGOs) in the country.

"Alhamdulillah, so far the distribution of aid is running smoothly through various efforts, including the Malaysian government's humanitarian operation through the Foreign Ministry. Our main focus so far has been on food and medical aid," he said.

He urged Malaysians to continue contributing to Palestine, taking the blessings of the month of Ramadan.
