Kwan Kee, a popular street cafe recognised by the "Michelin Guide Hong Kong” is now available in Petaling Jaya.
Locals can now savour Kwan Kee’s signature sweets including the rice bowl cake, sesame steamed cake, white sugar sponge cake, steamed red bean cake, and more.
Malaysia is actually Kwan kee’s first destination, bringing a touch of Hong Kong’s sweet magic to a nation celebrated for its diverse culinary landscape.
The man behind Kwan Kee’s operations in Malaysia Sundy Chim said: "Malaysia’s reputation as a food destination and the enthusiasm of Malaysians for delicious food motivated our expansion. We aim to contribute to the vibrant tapestry of Malaysian cuisine.
To entice Malaysians, Kwan Kee also introduced a Durian Rice Cake featuring the coveted Musang King durian.
"We recognise the love Malaysians have for durian, and our special treat aims to cater to their palate,” he said.
Kwan Kee is in the process of obtaining the halal certification from Jakim. However, all the ingredients are sourced from halal suppliers.
