ISKANDAR PUTERI - Visitors at Puteri Harbour were shaken on Monday by the unexpected appearance of a crocodile near the boat docks.
The sighting, captured on video and shared on social media, sparked both shock and concern about safety in the popular recreational area.
One visitor, Maryam described the surprise and immediate worry among families like hers, who frequent Puteri Harbour for its theme park, restaurants, and accommodations.
"We regularly visit on weekends but after seeing the crocodile, we decided to go elsewhere for safety reasons," she said, admitting to being still shocked by the incident.
Claims circulated online suggest workers may have spotted two crocodiles, further amplifying public concern.
Maryam pointed out the potential damage such incidents could inflict on Puteri Harbour's image, impacting local businesses and the international ferry terminal located within the area.
Meanwhile, Perhilitan Director Aminuddin Jamin said that they have received reports regarding the appearance of the reptile.
"Perhilitan has received complaints, and continuous monitoring, in collaboration with the area's management, is still ongoing," he said when contacted.
