KUALA LUMPUR - Datuk Syed Abu Hussin Hafiz Syed Abdul Fasal (PN-Bukit Gantang) today declares his support for Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
He announced it during the Prime Minister's Question Time (PMQT) session.
"Bukit Gantang hereby declares support for the Prime Minister.
"I am ready to give and help the government create a civilised society, deal with rising prices and the costs of living by taking the example of Nabi Yusuf," he said in the Dewan Rakyat, today.
Previously, he expressed his stance that he would support the leadership of the Tambun MP if allocations were channelled to his constituency.
He had requested for an allocation of RM30 million for the maintenance of Tabika Kemas amounting to RM1.05 million, community economic development (RM90,000) and social amenities (RM3 million).
In addition, Syed Abu Hussin applied for allocations for the installation of village street lights and rural ring road as well as rural development in the parliamentary area which had three State Legislative Assembly (DUN) and five sub-districts which covered a total of RM16 million.
Previously, four MPs from Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) supported Anwar.
The support started with Kuala Kangsar MP Datuk Iskandar Dzulkarnain Abdul Khalid on Oct 12, followed by Labuan MP Datuk Dr Suhaili Abdul Rahman, Gua Musang MP Mohd Azizi Abu Naim and Jeli MP Zahari Kechik.
