KUALA LUMPUR - There have been bomb threats directed at various international schools here and in Selangor, today.
Selangor police chief Datuk Hussein Omar Khan confirmed the matter saying that seven international schools around Selangor including in areas such as Petaling Jaya, Shah Alam, Kajang, Subang Jaya and Kuala Langat received the threats.
"Investigations are still ongoing and it is believed that it is just a false threat," he said today.
Meanwhile, city police chief Datuk Allaudeen Abdul Majid said two international schools in Wangsa Maju received bomb threats via email.
The police bomb disposal unit, he said was currently conducting inspections.
Earlier, a message had circulated on social media from an international school organisation regarding the bomb threat.
It is understood that they received an anonymous email about the bomb threat between 9.30am and 10.15 am.
