PUTRAJAYA - Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said a country can become great if it starts instilling noble values from the stage of the family institution.
When launching the National Family Month Celebration (BKK) 2023 here today, Anwar said the inculcation of noble values was the basis for the development of a Madani society and country.
"A Madani country can be nurtured and developed beginning from the family institution,” he said, adding that this would enable the Malaysian community to be imbued with love and compassion from that stage.
"We have been moved by what's happening in the world now, as seen daily in the atrocities and violence in Gaza, because we are trained to know compassion, love and the meaning of humanity,” he added.
Anwar said if the inculcation of moral and humanistic values was ignored in efforts to develop the country, it could lead to rampant misdeeds, corruption and irregularities. - BERNAMA
