KUALA TERENGGANU - Hulu Terengganu Member of Parliament Datuk Rosol Wahid has stated his commitment to remain loyal to Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu).
Rosol who is also Bersatu Terengganu Deputy Chairman,further explained that he will not declare his support for Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
"Yes, I'm still with the party (I won't support the Prime Minister's leadership)," he said when contacted by Sinar today.
Expanding on this, Rosol stated that the decision regarding the Member of Parliament for Labuan, Datuk Suhaili Abdul Rahman
would be left to the party's Disciplinary Board.
Suhaili who is also from Perikatan Nasional (PN) had recently declared his support for Anwar.
When asked about the possibility of other Bersatu Members of Parliament declaring their support for the Prime Minister, he stated that he was not aware of such matters.
"I haven't heard anything about that," he added.
Suhaili mentioned that the decision was made after taking into consideration all the issues faced by the people of Labuan, including the rising cost of living and continuous disruptions to the water and electricity supply.
Earlier thos month, the Member of Parliament for Kuala Kangsar Datuk Iskandar Dzulkarnain Abdul Khalid, also decided to support the Prime Minister's leadership.
According to the representatives from the Bersatu, this approach was taken after carefully studying the continuous pleas of the voters and emphasizing the urgent need to address the crisis of the rising cost of living affecting his constituency.
